Disabled people, AO victims receive full support

Binh Dinh Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs coordinated with Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped (VNAH) to fully review the “Supporting the disabled people and Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin victims” project on January 12.

The project worth US$174,000 funded by Ford Foundation and VNAH has been implemented in 10 communes and towns in Phu Cat district from January, 2009 to December, 2010.

Under the project, the Cat Tan rehabilitation center was newly built and the Cat Hung rehabilitation center was also upgraded, helping rehabilitate 34 disabled people.

The project also offered the community-based rehabilitation to 270 disabled persons, let alone the financial assistance to the others.
