Kick-off week for Year of Youth proves effective

The provincial Youth union’s affiliates at all levels synchronously organized many activities responding to the Year of Youth 2011 from December 31, 2010 to January 9, 2011, according to the report released by Binh Dinh Youth union.

1,500 poor disabled people and social beneficiaries were offered free medical tests and drugs. Young people also built a new house and a communal house, let alone 1,210 presents for social beneficiaries.

As a part of activities responding to “A Day of Youth Acting for Poor People”, more than 10 tons of rice was given to flood victims.

Also, many programs took place in island and mountainous communes on the occasion of “A Day of Youth Acting for National Border”.

“A Day of Youth Acting for Environment” saw over 10,000 Youth union members joining environment protection-related programs.
