Helping poor people enjoy Tet

The O5 villagers receive Tet gifts.

Binh Dinh Red Cross and Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) on Jan.18 presented 100 Tet gifts to poor people at the O5 village in Vinh Kim commune, Vinh Thanh district.

This is a part of the “Tet for the poor” program held in four provinces of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Quang Nam, and Quang Tri.

Metro Cash & Carry’s general director Randy Guttery on Jan. 18 visited and presented 300 gifts to poor households in 13 communes and town in Tuy Phuoc district.

On the same day, Ha Noi-based VinCom Joint Stock Company also presented 800 Tet gifts to poor local residents in communes of Phuoc Quang, Phuoc Hiep, Phuoc Son and Tuy Phuoc town.

The Vietnamese community of the City of Austin, Texas also provided 170 presents for flood-hit households in Hoai Duc commune, Hoai Nhon district.

Quy Nhon Fatherland Front Committee presented 45 gifts to flood victims in wards of Tran Quang Dieu, Bui Thi Xuan, and Phuoc My commune on January 18, helping them enjoy the upcoming Tet holiday.
