VND1 bn donated to flood victims

The representatives of HCM City and Binh Dinh Fatherland Front Committees on Jan. 21 visited and presented 400 Tet gifts to poor people in communes of Cat Tan, Cat Hanh (Phu Cat district), Binh Thanh and Binh Tuong (Tay Son district).

The HCM City Fatherland Front Committee had handed VND1 billion over to the province’s Fatherland Front Committee on the previous day, aiming to help flood victims enjoy the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.

The Phu My district’s public security forces presented 1.1 tonnes of rice and 110 gifts to the locals in the T6 village on Jan. 21.

On the same day, the HCM City’s Thu Duc district Fatherland Front Committee also presented 200 Tet gifts to poor people in four communes of Cat Hanh, Cat Trinh, Cat Tan, and Ngo May town.
