Binh Dinh offered 3,000 tonnes of rice

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has decided to provide 33,816 tonnes of rice from the national reserve to people in eleven provinces during the Tet festival.

Accordingly, Binh Dinh and Quang Binh provinces will receive 3,000 tonnes each, Quang Nam 2,000 tonnes, Ha Tinh 5,000 tonnes, Thanh Hoa 4,300 tonnes, Lao Cai 310 tonnes, Lai Chau 1,000 tonnes, Nghe An 9,400 tonnes, and Son La 1,456 tonnes.

The PM asked the provincial People’s Committees to properly use the rice and submit report to the Ministries of Finance and Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

He also asked Chairmen of provincial People’s Committees to take the initiative to use the provinces’ budget and other resources to assist poor people.
