Over VND1.9 bn raised for handicapped, orphans

The Binh Dinh Association for the Support of Handicapped and Orphans held a meeting to fully review its results in 2010 and implement the 2011’s tasks.

According to the reports, the association raised more than VND1.9 billion last year. In addition, it presented a total of 3,525 gifts, 80 wheelchairs, and rehabilitation facilities to disabled people.

Many orphans were also offered scholarships while disabled people were supported to attend vocational training courses.

The association will organize many activities in 2011, offering vocational training support and employment opportunities to 200 disabled people.

At the meeting, 300 disabled people and orphans were presented Tet gifts.
