A workshop on implementing the “Raising awareness of solid waste” component was held in Quy Nhon on Jan. 25.

The component, which will be carried out in four districts of Hoai Nhon, Phu My, Tay Son, and An Nhon, aims to form the workforce who will be responsible for the environment communications and promote the role of local authorities and functional bodies in monitoring and supporting activities related to the environment communications.

The province’s environment protection agency proposed three programs, raising the awareness of environment in the community, at schools, and on the mass media. The first program is expected to be implemented until December, 2011.
