Free eye surgeries for more than 300 poor blind people

Since September 23, Binh Dinh Eye Hospital and medical stations at districts of Hoai An, Vinh Thanh and Phu My have cooperatively organized lots of free eye examinations and counselling services on eye surgery for thousands of the poor blind/visually impaired people.

After the examinations, 329 poor blind/visually impaired patients are offered free cataract, glaucoma and after-cataract (posterior capsular opacification) surgeries using Yag Laser.

Particularly, the hospital launches a school eye screening programme in Hoai Nhon district. 18,000 students of secondary schools at the locality are provided free vision tests and poor short-sighted students are given 500 free pairs of glasses.
