Nearly 8 bln VND donated to “Fund for the Poor”

By September 15, “Fund for the poor” at all levels over Binh Dinh province has received so far a total donation of more than 7.945 billion VND, announces Binh Dinh Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Of which, the fund at provincial and district levels has nearly 1.599 billion VND, the fund at commune level has 1.742 billion VND. Donation from organizations and enterprises in Binh Dinh is more than 6.421 billion VND.

In the first 9 months of 2011, Binh Dinh Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front allocated over 6.984 billion VND from the fund to cover costs of house construction and social security for the poor.

The house construction cost nearly 6.142 billion VND; gifts for the poor in occasion of Lunar New Year of Cat 2011 cost 812.6 million VND and aids for the disabled and children in financial straits cost 30 million VND.
