Binh Dinh Department of Fishery Resource Exploitation and Protection has drawn a list of 2,132 at-least-90-CV offshore fishing boats that need to be provided with fuel for their fishing trips, says Chief of Office for Fishery Exploitation Management and Information, Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam.
1,976 fishing boats register with local governments and relevant agencies for the subsidized fuel. Out of which, 249 boats complete the procedure and application forms for approval of the provincial People’s Committee.
The Committee has just issued a Decision on fuel subsidies for 62 fishing boats with total cost of 2.725 billion VND, in which 17 boats are from Quy Nhon, 8 boats from Phu My and 37 boats from Hoai Nhon. The authorities expect to finish the procedure of fuel subsidies for nearly 1,000 offshore fishing boats by the end of this year.
