Preliminary treatment facility built for safe vegetable

People’s Committee of Phuoc Hiep commune, Tuy Phuoc district has just handed over construction plan to those in charge of building a safe vegetable preliminary treatment facility in line with VietGap standards at hamlet 5, Luat Chanh village.

The facility has a total constructional area of 105 square metres. The construction costs are covered by New Zealand – financed Sustainable Rural Livelihood Project under management of Binh Dinh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The facility is expected to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2012.

In the 2011-2012 Winter-Spring crop, more 25 households at Luat Chanh village have participated in the group of practicing VietGap safe vegetable production, making the total number of participants to 52 with total area of 4 hectares.
