Binh Dinh People’s Committee has just issued a document on the land compensation and the land clearance subsidies for Vinh Hoi Hotel and Resort Project. Accordingly, Management Board of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone will collaborate with relevant agencies and local governments to promptly carry out surveys on the land compensation and the land clearance subsidies for local households affected by enlargement of road DT 639 under the project. The land compensation, the land clearance subsidy provision and the resettlement will be implemented in successive method. The surveys and the land compensation must be transparent and open under supervision of the people and mass organizations. All options of the land compensation, the land clearance subsidies and the resettlement must put up in public notices. Those households in financial straits will be allowed to postpone land use fee payments as regulations.
Phu Cat district People’s Committee should cooperate with the Management Board of Nhon Hoi EZ and relevant agencies, mass organizations in performing communication campaigns to raise awareness of the project’s beneficiary local people about the policies on the land compensation and the resettlement; inspecting, punishing or proposing punishments to those who distort the policies; implementing construction of essential infrastructure at the resettlement areas to ensure stable living of the affected people.
