Binh Dinh Department of Health on Feb. 24 held a meeting to celebrate the 56th anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day, review last year’s issues, and implement the 2011’s tasks.

The health sector continued fulfilling its tasks and targets in 2010. The medical network has been strengthened, according to the report. Binh Dinh now sees 781 doctors. Many national programs on health issues were carried out while the quality of treatment was also improved.

Attending the meeting, provincial Vice Chairman Ho Quoc Dung acknowledged the medical staff’s achievements, asking the sector to consolidate the medical network at grass roots level, carry out more preferential policies, and renew its mechanism.

At the meeting, some outstanding individuals and bodies were honored.
