Binh Dinh will join the 2011 Earth Hour campaign which is scheduled to start from 8.30 pm – 9.30 pm of March 26. The campaign was launched by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) with the aim of curbing global warming.
Provincial bodies, armed forces, and local businesses will be asked to implement practical activities to respond to the campaign. Also, each person is encouraged to effectively save the energy by turning off the lights and electric equipment for one hour during the campaign.
By March 7, 29 provinces and cities confirmed their participation in the event and the number is expected to increase.
