The Volunteer Service Abroad (VSA) is going to end its operation in Binh Dinh in late June, VSA’s programme manager in Asia, Mui Ngah Lee, said at a meeting with provincial Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh on March 21.

VSA will also stop its activities in Asia and Africa and expand its programme in the Pacific, she added. VSA’s new direction reflects the Government’s focus on sustainable economic development in the Pacific.

Provincial Vice Chairwoman Binh expressed many thanks to VSA and its volunteers’ help in the fields of health, education and rural development in Binh Dinh in the past 19 years, affirming that the relationship between VSA and Vietnam’s provinces, including Binh Dinh, has strengthened the cooperation between Vietnam and New Zealand.
