The representatives of the East Meets West Foundation, sponsor of the Scholarship Program to Enhance Literacy and Learning (SPELL) on Mar. 23 visited My Phong junior high school, Phu My 2 senior high school, and Le Quy Don gifted high school to monitor students who have benefited from the SPELL program.

Two SPELL students of My Thang high school passed the last year’s exam and they are now studying at Le Quy Don high school. Each has still received the financial assistance of VND12.5 million per academic year.

The local poor students have been funded by SPELL for six years. The program donated US$53,765 to poor students in three districts of Phu My, Van Canh, and An Lao in the academic year of 2010-2011.
