Tay Son district plans to continue planting 520 hectares of forest in 2011 under the WB-funded forest sector development project (WB3 project) at 7 communes of Tay Thuan, Binh Thuan, Binh Tan, Binh Thanh, Tay An, Tay Xuan and Vinh An. Out of which, 130 hectares of forest will be planted more at 2 communes of Binh Thanh and Tay Son. Community meetings on forestation processes have been held at the communes.
Tay Son has so far planted over 1,240 hectares of forest under the WB3 project and disbursed more than 13 billion VND through the district branch of Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, creating favourable conditions for 878 households to take care of the forests well.
