Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thien on April 7 held a meeting with Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

At the meeting, the Department’s leaders presented the reports on the implementation of the 17th provincial Party Congress’s resolution on tourism development in the 2006-2010 period.

According to the report, the tourism turnover annually gains considerable growth. The average growth rate of the number of tourists gets 22.1 percent every year in the 2006-2010 period.

However, the tourism development has still seen many difficulties. Tourism is set to become an important sector in Binh Dinh until 2015, according to the draft of tourism development in the 2011-2015 period.

Speaking at the meeting, provincial Party Chief Thien said the province’s tourism development has still fallen short of expectations.

He, thus, asked the relevant bodies to re-check all tourist infrastructure as well as services, helping build a plan for the tourism development in the 2011-2015 period.
