19th national Mathematical Olympiad closes

The 19th national Mathematical Olympiad closed at Quy Nhon University on April 16. A total of 278 prizes were announced at the closing ceremony.

Taking place from April 12-16, the event attracted 700 undergraduates coming from 71 universities, colleges, and academies nationwide to join the analytics and algebra contests.

Among 278 prizes, there are 43 first prizes, 99 second prizes, and 136 third prizes. Two students of Quy Nhon University won two first prizes.

Also, 7 outstanding students were honored at the ceremony. Among them, five won the first prizes in both contests.

The 20th national Mathematical Olympiad will be held at Phu Yen University, Phu Yen Province, next year.
