Binh Dinh Association in Support of disabled people and orphans on April 17 coordinated with Quy Nhon University to organize an art performance to mark the Day of Vietnamese disabled persons which falls on April 18.
Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tro and other people attended the event.
The participating disabled people and students performed some songs, dances and fashion shows featuring the aspiration for overcoming difficulties in life.
At the event, 70 gifts were presented to 20 orphans and 50 disabled people.
The association also presented a house to Nguyen Thi Sen, a disabled woman living in Hoa Son hamlet, Binh Tuong commune, Tay Son district. The association donated VND16 million to build the house which is worth VND21 million.
The Hy Vong school on April 18 offered special meals to 80 disabled students and presented gifts to some of its staff. Its disabled students joined folk games held on the same day.
