Aquaculture sees sharp drop in industrial production value

The industrial production value of aquaculture sector in Binh Dinh earned VND36.6 billion in April, a decrease of 21.7 percent against the same period last year.

The output of frozen shrimp is 116 tonnes, reducing by 45.5 percent and the output of frozen aquatic products reaches 567 tonnes, a rise of 7.1 percent.

The sector’s industrial production value sharply dropped due to the shortage of raw material for frozen shrimp, according to the report.

The local shrimp breeders only harvested 283.9 tonnes of shrimps in April, reducing 52.2 percent over the previous year’s corresponding period.
