Strengthening shrimp disease prevention
13:46', 9/5/ 2011 (GMT+7)

Coastal local authorities were asked to boost the shrimp disease prevention, minimizing heavy losses to shrimp breeders.

Accordingly, some functional panels will be set up to monitor shrimp breeding ponds affected, ensuring timely measures against any possible diseases.

The functional panels will be responsible for providing the issues related to the shrimp disease prevention.

At present, the province has 82.66 ha of shrimp breeding farms affected with diseases, accounting for 4.6 percent of the whole area, particularly in districts of Hoai Nhon and Tuy Phuoc.
