Synchronous traffic development for building new rural areas
15:56', 11/5/ 2011 (GMT+7)

Binh Dinh has invested a large sum in building 6 key traffic works this year and prepared for other works across the province, fostering the industrialization and modernization cause as well as the construction of new urban areas, according to provincial Chairman Le Huu Loc.

The construction of the road running Phu Tai T-junction to Long Van was estimated to cost more than VND2,400 billion; whilst, the roads connecting Long Van with Phuoc Long My and Tay Son with Hoai An will be built with the capital of over VND600 billion and VND360 billion respectively.

A total of VND68 billion was also used to prolong the road Nguyen Tat Thanh, which is expected to be in use next month.

At present, the 139-km road from Quy Nhon to Hoai Nhon has been planned to be upgraded.

Alongside these projects, the second phase of the wastewater and solid waste project is being implemented with the capital of US$20 million and it will be put into operational by 2014.

The provincial authorities also proposed a plan to upgrade a total length of 208 km of the national highway, including the 70km-road from Quy Nhon seaport to An Khe pass, of which the road from the seaport to Phu Phong town covers 40 km and the remaining distance is from the town to the pass.

The 10 km-railroad connecting the Nhon Hoi port with the North-South railway will also be built and the Quy Nhon railway station is planned to be removed from the centre of the city in the future.
