Processors suffer shortage of cashew nuts
13:34', 24/5/ 2011 (GMT+7)

Cashew processors are currently running at 60 percent their capacities because of lacking raw cashew materials, according to Vo Mai Hung, an official of Department of Industry and Trade.

The causes include the reduction of cultivation land, productivity, as well as difficulties in import due to high cost.

The province’s 5 cashew processors and small businesses have a total capacity of 10.000 tonnes of raw cashew nuts a year.
