11th provincial People’s Council deputy election result announced

The province’s Election Board yesterday (May 25) announced the result of the election for the provincial People’s Council deputies in the 2011-2016 tenure.

Accordingly, 60 people were elected as deputies for the 11th provincial People’s Council. Among them, the number of re-nominated deputies and female deputies accounts for 13.33 percent and 15 percent, respectively.

Also, 6.67 percent of deputies are ethnic minority people, non-Party deputies account for 5 percent, and young deputies (under 40) are of 8.33 percent.

The municipal and district levels see 391 deputies while the total of deputies elected for the 2011-2016 term is 4,248 at grass roots level.
