Malaria cases decreased

In the first 4 months of 2001, in Binh Dinh province as well as provinces in the Central Highlands, the number of Malaria cases reported and incidence decreased by 34.17% in comparison with the same period last year, according to Quy Nhon Institute for Malaria-Parasite-Entomology.

However, high danger may come from people who return from outside of Binh Dinh provinece as well as forthcoming rainy season, a peak Malaria seasons.

Activities of Malaria surveillance, chemical pump and mosquito nets treated with insecticides was launched as precautionary measures.
