Garment industry attracts 7,000 workers

Binh Dinh’s garment sector has aggressively thrived in the past 2 years, generating more job opportunities for rural laborers, according to Binh Dinh Department of Industry and Trade.

The province has now 11 garment enterprises with the total output of over 17 million items/year, 6 million items higher than late 2009, creating jobs for about 7,000 workers with an average monthly wage of 2.1 million VND per capita.

4 garment projects are being implemented. They are expected to be put into operation at the end of this year with the total capacity of 19.3 million items per year.
