A seminar entitled “Cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden in sustainable development” taking place in Quy Nhon yesterday (June 15).
The event, jointly held by the Binh Dinh People’s Committee and the Vietnam-Sweden Centre for Environmental Technology Cooperation, drew over 50 experts and representatives from the two countries’ relevant agencies, organisations and businesses.
Some reports on measures for effective waste treatment management to ensure sustainable development and clean technologies in solid waste treatment applied in Southern Sweden were presented at the seminar.
Also, the participants talked about solutions to transform solid waste into energy and waste management in Vietnam in general and Binh Dinh in particular.
Speaking at the seminar, provincial Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh affirmed that this is an opportunity for two countries’ relevant bodies, organizations, and businesses to share experiences and seek cooperation opportunities in energy and waste treatment.
She also vowed Binh Dinh will create all possible conditions for Sweden’s bodies and businesses to invest in fields of natural resources and environment protection and management.
