Responding “Contribute bricks to build Spratly Islands” campaign
11:14', 4/7/ 2011 (GMT+7)

The Youth Union of Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) – Phu Tai branch held a ceremony on July 2, responding to the campaign ““Contribute bricks to build Spratly Islands” launched by Tuoi Tre Newspaper.

At the ceremony, representatives of Binh Dinh provincial Party Committee’s Popularisation and Education Board gave a speech on “Vietnam’s sovereignty over borders and marine islands”, focusing on the current situation at the East Sea and China’s recent actions.

Each of the Youth Union members voluntarily contributed 200.000 VND to buy 15 tonnes of cement (worth 22 million VND) as an answer to the campaign. The sum of money was handed to Tuoi Tre Newspaper’s representative office in Binh Dinh.
