Over VND1.7 bln donated to charity

The provincial Civil servant Trade Union on July 5 held a meeting to preliminarily review the first-six-month results and implement the tasks in the next six months.

According to the report, the body has effectively carried out its tasks to monitor the policy implementation and ensure the rights for laborers.

In addition, its affiliates donated a sum of VND335 million to charities and poor civil servants in the province, let alone more than VND1 billion donated to the “Gratitude” fund, and “For the poor” fund, and tsunami and quake victims in Japan.

As for the tasks in the next six months, the trade union will organize an art performance for civil servants as well as other contests.
