VLAP implements “Ethnic Minority Action Plan”

Management Board of Vietnam Land Administration Project (VLAP) held a conference on “VLAP’s implementation of Ethnic Minority Action Plan (EMAP)” on July 11.

The participants were representatives of the management board and its branches in 9 cities and provinces.

The EMAP aims to ensure interests of ethnic minority people who are affected by the implementation of VLAP.

The participants discussed ways to improve the EMAP and how to implement the proposed action plan in 2011; estimated costs of the plan.

Among the 9 cities and provinces benefiting from the project, Quang Ngai has the highest rate of ethnic minority population (12 percent), following is Khanh Hoa (4.8 percent), Vinh Long (2.6 percent) and Binh Dinh (2.3 percent).
