3,976 households take out loans for afforestation

3,976 households in Binh Dinh took out loans for the afforesation under the WB3 project, according to director of Binh Dinh Bank for Social Policies Nguyen Dinh Son.

The bank provided loans worth over VND9 billion for 378 households to plant trees in the first six months of 2011. The forest area, thus, has considerably increased in districts of Phu Cat, Van Canh, Tay Son, Phu My, and Tuy Phuoc.

Thanks to the project, many families are now able to increase their income. Also, the project has contributed to protect the environment and enhance the State management in the field of forest and land for forestry.
