Binh Dinh province are trying to meet its target of 4.825 hectares of new afforestation in this year’s afforestation season, says Binh Dinh Forestry Development Department.

The target area comprises 450 hectares of protective forests and forests for landscape, the rest 4,245 hectares of productive forests. Besides, natural forests under project KfW6 – the project on forest protection and development – will be also reafforested.

4,856 hectares of land are now available for the afforestation, in which 1,800 hectares are cleared of ground vegetation cover and have holes for the new saplings.

More than 11 million of forestry breeding trees are also ready for the afforestation. 51,469 hectares for the natural forest reafforestation have been prepared, accounting for 99.9% of the plan.
