7:22', 1/8/ 2011 (GMT+7)

Binh Dinh People’s Committee has just issued supplementary policies on the compensation, assistance and resettlement for affected people in the project of building Vinh Hoi Resort in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.

Farmers whose agricultural lands are reclaimed will be given supplementary money for their land loss besides the land compensation as current policies by the provincial People’s Committee.

The amounts of money depend on number of crops grown on the affected lands: 30,000VND/m2 for the land on which 3 crops are rotated each year, 20,000 VND/m2 for the land on which 2 crops are rotated and 10.000 VND/m2 for the land with 1 crop/year.

Those whose residential lands are reclaimed will be compensated for the residential land loss and be helped with money to find other alternative jobs.

The amounts of money are at least equal to value of 50m2 of the residential land. If they want to have residential lands as premises for service businesses, they will be allocated 50m2 of residential land in addition to the land for the resettlement.

They will be given a sum of supplementary money as assistance in their job change. The financial assistance is twice higher than the agricultural land compensation value.

Those who will be allocated more residential land for the resettlement have to pay the land use fees as regulated in specific projects.
