50th Anniversary of Agent Orange Disaster marked

On August 1, Quy Nhon city People’s Committee organized a meeting to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam (1961-2011) with topic “Let share Agent Orange Agony”. Quy Nhon leaders, representatives of the Agent Orange victims and enterprises who have actively participated in activities held by Quy Nhon Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin discussed on ways to help the victims overcome difficulties in their lives.

The association was established in August 2008 and has now 1,586 members. 83 businesses and individuals all over the city have contributed 286 million VND to the association’s fund during the last 3 years. At the meeting, Kim Cuc Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. donated 100 million VND to build houses and buy awards for the association’s members.

16 typical members of the association were offered awards, each worth 500.000 VND.
