Steering board for “Teaching and learning foreign languages” scheme formed

A steering board for the “Teaching and learning foreign languages in 2008-2020 period” scheme was formed on August 8.

Provincial Vice Chairman Mai Thanh Thang is assigned to be the head of the board while two top officials of Binh Dinh Department of Education and Training will act as deputy heads.

The board is responsible for assisting provincial People’s Committee in steering other relevant bodies to coordinate with the education to implement the scheme.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, five universities and one centre are qualified to test the qualification of English teachers in localities. They include Ha Noi National University’s College of Foreign Languages, Ha Noi University, Hue University’s College of Foreign Languages, Da Nang University’s College of Foreign Languages, HCM City University of Pedagogy, and SEAMEO RETRAC centre.
