Improving quality of Phu My pickle scallion heads

Ministry of Science and Technology has just agreed to fund project “Applying science and technology to build model of improve output and quality of pickled scallion heads at Phu My district,” says Binh Dinh Union of Science and Technology Associations.

Agricultural Science Institute for Southern Coastal Central of Vietnam will take the charge of implementing the project, which will last from January 2012 to July 2014 and with total budget of 3.7 billion VND.

The project aims to enhance output and quality of Phu My pickled scallion heads, preparing for forming of Phu My pickled scallion head mass production area.

The project is part of the ministry’s scheme “Assistance for applying and transferring scientific and technological advances in socio-economic development of rural and mountainous areas”.

Besides, another project within the scheme will be implemented along at Binh Dinh in 2012.
