Sea turtle caught laying eggs at Hai Giang hamlet

A sea turtle had been caught laying eggs at beach of Khe Sanh Cape, Hai Giang hamlet, Nhon Hai commune, Quy Nhon city at midday, August 20 by a volunteer group for sea turtle protection, said Mr. Tran Huu Phuoc - an official from Nhon Hai agency for fisheries promotion – on August 22. The sea turtle which was 0.85m wide and 1.2m long laid over 150 eggs.

2 months ago, another sea turtle laid about 120 eggs at the same beach.

Nhon Hai waters hosts plenty of coral reefs which are ideal habitats for marine animals, including sea turtles – one of endangered marine species in need of urgent protection.
