Survey, restore 18 weapon forms of Binh Dinh traditional martial arts

Binh Dinh Council of Science and Technology has just approved a draft proposal of a project “Survey and restore of 18 weapon forms of Binh Dinh traditional martial arts” whose author is Mr. Nguyen An Pha, former Vice Director of Binh Dinh Department of Culture-Sport-Tourism, present Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Martial Arts Federation. The project aims to survey, collect and restore the 18 weapon forms of Binh Dinh traditional martial arts; make full scientific statistics on values of the weapons and settings of martial arts performance with them; partly contribute to preservation of Binh Dinh traditional martial arts. The project proposal also suggests solutions for the preservation, introduces about Binh Dinh cultural potentialities, highlights Binh Dinh sporting spirit, emphasizes cultural values of the weapons in the provincial tourism promotion, engraves Binh Dinh martial arts traditions into minds and spiritual life of local people and foreign friends. The project will be carried out from now to end of December, 2012 with total budget of 500 million VND.
