Launch campaign “Youth volunteers ready for actions in flood and storm season”

Standing Committee of Binh Dinh Communist Youth Union and Secretariat of Vietnam Youth Association have just launched campaign 2011 “Youth volunteers ready for actions in flood and storm season”.

The campaign will last from September to the end of December 2011, particularly during  flood and storm events.

It aims to raise awareness of teenagers about their responsibilities in natural disaster prevention and control, potential damage alleviation via communication activities.

The youth volunteers will carry out activities of the natural disaster prevention and control, the potential damage alleviation, searches and rescues in the flood and storm season.

The provincial Communist Youth Union will establish groups of voluntary youth who specialize in particular fields.

The groups will join the efforts of the natural disaster prevention and control, the potential alleviation. They will also cooperate with businesses and benefactors in organizing relief and consolation trips to victims of the potential natural disasters.
