VAN CANH: 1,700 hectares of new forests grown

Since the beginning of 2011, Van Canh district has grown 1,700 hectares of new forests, meeting 170% of the year’s planned targets. Local people grow 325 hectares of the forests; local government and enterprises grow 185 hectares; forestry farms grow 600 hectares; the rest 590 hectares of the forests are grown under projects’ frameworks.

The forestation in Van Canh this year has occurred smoothly thanks to well preparation of saplings. The local people are well aware of the forestation benefits and hence, actively protect the forests.
