AN NHON: 99% of students join health insurance

Such the figure was announced by An Nhon Social Welfare Insurance Agency at a meeting on August 29.

The meeting aimed to review implementation of the health insurance policy for students in the school year 2010-2011 and propose action plans in the coming school year 2011-2012.

In the school year 2010-2011, 32,243/37,411 students from 50 schools at An Nhon joined the health insurance programe.

Some of the schools had high rates of health insurance participation, including Nhon Loc 1 and Nhon Loc 2 Secondary Schools (100%), Nhon Thanh Secondary School (99.7%), Nhon Loc Secondary School (99%).

Total sum of the insurance revenue was over 5.927 billion VND. Total costs of medical examination for the student beneficiaries, costs of primary health care at the schools was 2.562 billion VND.
