14:1', 4/9/ 2011 (GMT+7)

Prime Minister has just revised and supplemented certain articles in Decision No. 719/QĐ-TTg dated June 5, 2008 on Policy of compensation in avian and cattle epidemic prevention and control. Accordingly, the compensation for poultry and cattle breeders whose avian flocks and cattle herds must be buried or burned will increase. Allowances for those who directly participate in the epidemic prevention and control will also rise.

The poultry and cattle breeders (households, individuals, farm owners, cooperatives, poultry and cattle breeding facilities under central, provincial or military management) will receive the compensation equal to 70% prices of poultry or cattle on sales in markets. The specific compensation prices are 38.000VND/kg of alive pigs, 45.000 VND/kg of alive buffaloes, cows, goats, sheep, deer and stags; 35.000 for each of avian animals (chickens, ducks, swans and geese).
