270 bln VND requested to upgrade reservoirs

Binh Dinh People’s Committee has just recommended Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to let Binh Dinh join in Water Resources Assistance Project (VWRAP), and let the provincial government propose plans of improving, repairing heavily downgraded reservoirs  in the province which likely fail to pass flood tests in the coming flood and storm season.  

The list of recommended reservoirs includes Nui Mot at An Nhon district; Hoc Thanh at Tay Son district; My Thuan, Chanh Hung and Hoc Xeo at Phu Cat district; My Duc, Kim Son at Hoai An district; Hoc Tranh at An Lao district; Giao Hoi, Ong Tri and Cu Le at Hoai Nhon district; Hoi Khanh, Diem Tieu, So Bo and Ho Trach at Phu My district.

Total of proposed investment capital for the upgrading and repairing the reservoirs is 270 billion VND, from World Bank – financed VWRAP and the national budget.
