Given complicated situation of deforestation in Hoai An district, since early 2011, Hoai An Forest Management Service has formed task groups in charge of launching communication campaign on forestry protection and laws for local people at hot spots of deforestation, says Mr. Pham Loc, head of the service.
The service has organized so far 62 events of the communication all over the district, attracting more than 3,620 participations.
The service has also integrated the communication campaign into internal meetings of local militiamen to raise their awareness of the forest protection and development.
Moreover, the service has co-operated with the district Women Union to organize contests among the women about the forest protection, wild fire prevention and control. The contests attracted over 250 participations.
