Investment disbursement of the Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Binh Dinh hasn’t met the expected targets, announces the Project Management Unit (PMU).
The province has disbursed so far 996,634 Euro, accounting for 10.82% of the project’s funds. Out of which, the investment disbursed from the Belgium-fund is 835,516 Euro, making for 10.82 percent and the capital disbursed from the Vietnamese-fund is 161,117 Euro, making for 10.8%.
Delay of tender for certain works is reason of the late disbursement. For example, a lot of difficulties raised in a bid of consultation on drawing of construction organization and estimate for upgrading Hoc Mon reservoir in Phu My district haven’t unsolved, leading to the frozen disbursement.
The project is financed by Belgium government, lasts from 2009 to 2014 with total investment of 8.95 million Euro, in which the Belgium covers 7.5 million Euro while Vietnam covers the rest 1.45 million Euro.
