Rain reported in many places
15:3', 7/9/ 2011 (GMT+7)

In late September 4, many places in Binh Dinh had long-lasting heavy downpours, says Mr. Tran Sy Dung, Director of Binh Dinh Meteorology and Hydrogrophy Centre. Rainfalls at An Hoa (An Lao district) was 21mm, at Bong Son town (Hoai Nhon district) was 7mm, Vinh Son (Vinh Thanh district) 40mm, Binh Nghi (Tay Son district) 13mm, Thanh Hoa (An Nhon district) 30mm, Quy Nhon city 16.2mm, Phu My district 10.3mm, Phu Cat district 65mm, Hoai An district 7.2mm, Van Canh district 2mm. Downpours are expected to happen in coming days but rainfall won’t high.

The rains are easing severe drought in recent times. More than 6,000 hectares of rice and vegetable fields are being watered. Risks of wild fires in the province significantly reduce. Yet, the rainfalls aren’t enough to stop the drought.
