VND 4.63 bln invested in forest protection in An Lao

Under the Government’s program No.30a, An Lao district invested VND4.63 billion in managing and protecting the forest in 2011, according to its Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tung.

Among them, the district’s forest management unit was allocated a total of VND3.38 billion and An Lao management unit for specialized forest received over VND1.24 billion to protect an area of 2,000 hectares of forest.

A total of 16,753 hectares of forest are now under protection in An Lao, according to the statistics released in 2010. Each hectare is funded VND200,000 per year.
