Non-professional Tuong festival opens

The 7th non-professional Tuong (classical drama) festival opened in Quy Nhon city on September 24, attracting nearly 400 amateur artists and musicians.

They come from 12 local non-professional Tuong troupes, including Sao Mai, Tran Quang Dieu, An Nhon No.1, An Nhon No.2, Nhon Hung, Tuy Phuoc, Anh Duong, Phuoc An, Truong An No.1, Song Kon, Tay Son, and Suoi Tre.

The artists will perform Tuong plays with the length of 120-150 minutes. There are three categories of prizes, consisting of A, B, and C, let alone awards for each artist.

The event is scheduled to close on Sept. 29.
