Experiment and add new rice varieties to Binh Dinh structure of rice production

Binh Dinh agricultural authorities have conducted experiments to add dozens of new pure and cross-bred rice varieties to the provincial structure of rice production, says Binh Dinh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The province now has potential high yielding new rice varieties which adapt easily to intensive cultivation and are harvested twice per year, including ĐV 108, ĐB 6, VĐ 8, Q 5, SH 2, Nhi uu 838, BIO 404, etc.

Moreover, the agriculture authorities have just added other new high yielding, high quality cross-bred rice varieties to the structure of rice production, comprising Th3-3, Nhi uu 69, D. uu 527, BTE-1, PAC 807. Average output of these rice varieties is 70-80 quintals/hectare. Their rice products are delicious, winning favour of consumers.

Binh Dinh Centre for Agriculture and Aquaculture has carried out experiments on 4 new rice varieties this year; Binh Dinh Centre for Seedlings has tested 2 new rice varieties which are introduced by rice research institutes all over the country to add to the province’s structure of rice production.
